Board Basics

You are not alone - let us be your board secretary.
Board Basics takes all the chaos and gives back a basic set of documentation, including a constitution, board meeting procedures, official registration, and a calendar of critical deadlines to help stay on track.
First-time board? No problem. We’ll craft your agendas, rules, and deadlines — so you lead confidently. For an affordable negotiated hourly rate, we will even help you run your first board meeting either remotely or in person.
Mission & Vision
$1100 – half day workshop
Knowing who you are, what you are doing, and why you are doing it is essential to being able to plan your activities as an organisation.
In the Mission & Vision workshop, Board Buddy will join you and guide you through a highly effective process to distill what you already know, but haven’t yet been able to express clearly.
After the workshop you will have a Mission Statement, a Vision Statement, and an outline of the main services you offer in both a printable and digital format suitable to attach to funding applications.
Pesky Paperwork

Most voluntary organisations are started by wonderfully passionate individuals who put their heart and soul into making their community a better place.
And then: the paperwork starts piling up. Wow, we never thought there would be so much! Thankfully Board Buddy is here to help.
If you’ve already had the basics covered, we can put together your WHS policies and any other policy documents you need to prove you are compliant with relevant regulations that apply to the work you do.
Online Presence
$1100 + subscription costs
Maybe you need a website, or a social media identity - or both? Do you need to be able to sell things online?
How about a members only portal, and a public events calendar?
Board Buddy has you covered.
Using off-the-shelf website builders, we will get you out there and online quick smart.
No need for full stack development, just answer our calls and emails, and we will take care of it.
Once you’re set up, if you’d like us to maintain your systems, ask us about our Managed Services.
Print Presence
$1100
Communicating and persuading became so much easier with the advent of the internet - and then the internet got full.
It is unlikely that you are relying on online communication to get your message out anyway, but it would be really helpful if you had something you could hand to anyone who wanted to read more about the work you do and the impact it has on the communities you serve.
We will create a 4 page A4 brochure and print 1000 copies, delivered to you.
Also included: customised poster & flyer templates you can change and print yourself.
Workforce Basics
$1100 + subscription costs
Managing people can be overwhelming - no matter if they’re paid employees or volunteers.
Board Buddy will work with you to create:
Customised work plans
Industrial relations roadmap
Position descriptions
Job advertisements
Hiring procedures
Rostering system / app
App vendor fees are an ongoing cost not included in this fee, but we can maintain it as a Managed Service for a negotiable monthly fee.
Managed Services
starting at $55 per month
With all your systems, processes and documentation established, you are rocking and rolling.
If you just don’t have the time or skills in house to keep things ticking over, let’s have a chat about what we can take off your plate.
For a reasonable monthly fee we will maintain what we’ve set up for you, and roll all your third party subscriptions into a single payment. All pricing will be based on the cost of the subscription plus estimated labour costs.

There are other services you may need that are out of Board Buddy’s scope, such as specialised creative (graphic designers, photographers), insurance brokers, professional grant writers.
We are happy to make introductions or point existing customers in the right direction.
